Erika and Jason got married on January 28, 2008 in Killeen, Texas. He proposed to her just a couple days before at Belton Lake in Ft. Hood, Texas.
On March 8, Jason deployed from Ft. Hood to Iraq. On April 7, Jason was injured. He was very lucky and has some recovery ahead of him. He is now in San Antonio, Texas recovering.
Everything is now up in the air. We are waiting to find out what is going to happen with Jason and where we go from here. We feel very blessed because it could have been so much worse. Someone was looking out for him that day.
Erika is finishing up the school year! She is finishing her sixth year of teaching and taught computers this year. She has finally found the job that she was meant to have. She isn’t going to work this summer and stay home with Haley. May end up spending some time in San Antonio, but hopefully Jason will be home! =)
